Fizzy Peach Punch
Spring has finally sprung! It's been a long, cold winter so I'm definitely ready for some sunshine and daisies.
I'm already preparing my beach bod for the summer - I started the 80 Day Obsession from Beach Body On Demand this week. I've been absolutely obsessed with eating healthy and working out, just like my girl Autumn Calabrese wants me to. I'll surely write a few posts about my journey along the way. Maybe, if I'm feeling really brave, I'll share my results at the end. Maybe.
Anyway, Easter is this week (actually, this post goes live on Easter!) It's tough timing since I just started this timed nutrition business with BBOD, but I've always been a firm believer in not depriving yourself of the good stuff. I just ate extremely healthy for 6 days in a row. I can have one holiday with my family to just relax and enjoy myself! There are so many excellent dishes on the menu, and It'd be pure torture to look at them and not eat them.
So, that brings me to the topic of conversation today - punch! A few months ago I got this absolutely gorgeous crystal punch bowl from my parent's attic. We are hosting Easter this year for 17 people, so I decided it's the perfect time to bring out this fancy thing!

I spent some time searching Pinterest for some punch recipes. I saw a few I liked, but nothing really made me say "WOW! THAT'S IT!" So, I decided to invent my own.
I wanted something a little bubbly and not too sweet, and I definitely wanted to include frozen peaches. I tested out various combinations of tasty liquids, and finally settled on this perfectly pleasant fizzy peach punch.
I went with an alcohol-free version since my brother-in-law brought a spectacular lavender gin drink, but you could easily add alcohol to this! It goes great with vodka, or even bourbon.

Fizzy Peach Punch
Serves 16-20
Ingredients:
2 Liters Ginger Ale
2 Liters Sprite
8 Oz Peach Nectar
1/4 Cup Grenadine
Frozen Peach Slices
Thyme for garnish
Directions:
1. Take out your prettiest punch bowl or beverage dispenser.
2. Combine the ginger ale, sprite, peach nectar and grenadine. Stir to combine, then refrigerate until you are ready to serve. (Don't make it too early though or you'll loose the fizz!)
3. Add frozen peaches in place of ice cubes to keep the punch cold without watering it down.
4. Garnish with a sprig or two of Thyme, serve, and enjoy!
